Right now, we are living in one of the most challenging times for vulnerable families across the United States—and the crisis is especially real in Indiana.
According to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, over 10,500 people experienced homelessness in Indiana in 2023, a number that continues to rise sharply due to inflation, housing insecurity, and job instability. What’s even more heartbreaking is that families with children make up nearly 30% of this total.
In Indianapolis, shelters are at capacity. Food pantries are reporting overwhelming demand. Children are going to bed hungry—not in faraway countries, but in our neighborhoods, our city, and our streets.
As followers of Christ, we are called not to turn away from suffering, but to enter into it with compassion and action.
🙏 What We’re Doing — And Why We Need You
At Harmonie Hearts, we believe love looks like something. It looks like a meal delivered with dignity. It looks like a bag of groceries for a mother trying to stretch her last dollar. It looks like showing up when no one else does.
On May 17th, 2025, we served 178 families at the Regan Inn Shelter in Indianapolis. We provided food, care, prayer, and support to those who needed it most.
But that wasn’t the end of the story. It was just the beginning.
We’ve now launched a $3,500 fundraising campaign to continue this mission and feed even more families this summer.
Every donation goes directly to purchasing and delivering food to families in shelters, transitional housing, or facing food insecurity in our community. This is 100% local impact—with 0% platform fees, thanks to Zeffy.

It’s easy to pray for others. But the Gospel calls us to be the answer to someone’s prayer.
We cannot change the whole world in one day, but we can change someone’s world in one moment—with a meal, with a gift, with love.
